ost of our International students choose to stay with a local family - known as a homestay - when they first come to Sheffield, as this gives them an opportunity to learn more about the city and the British way of life, as well as a chance to practice their English.

Students opting for homestay accommodation will have their own bedroom, and will sometimes share a bathroom with the host family.

When living in homestay accommodation there are two options available:

Half Board (£140 per week): no lunch during week, but all meals on weekends

Full Board (£160 per week) Lunch (usually a packed lunch you will take with you to college)

The Sheffield College meets all host families before students move in and informs them what is expected of them when hosting a student.

The International Office will arrange homestay accommodation for you prior to your arrival in Sheffield. You must fill in an accommodation form when you apply for a course and send it to the International Office.

Những sinh viên đã đặt khóa học ngoại ngữ thành công và đã thanh toán các khoản phí của mình sẽ nhận được CAS từ trường . Xin hãy lưu lý là luật pháp Anh quy định rằng CAS chỉ được cấp cho sinh viên có dự định học tiếng Anh với thời gian từ 11 tháng trở lên.

Nếu bạn học ở Vương Quốc Anh với thời gian ít hơn 11 tháng, thì bạn cần đăng ký xin visa thăm viếng đặc biệt được gọi là Visa Sinh viên tạm thời (Student Visitor Visa). Là một sinh viên tạm thời, bạn sẽ không được phép làm việc trong thời gian học của mình. Nếu bạn có dự định học tại Anh với thời gian từ 11 tháng trở xuống, thì thư tiếp nhận sẽ được gửi đến địa chỉ nhà bạn theo đường gửi thư thông thường miễn phí. Nếu bạn muốn nhận giấy tờ theo đường chuyển phát nhanh, thì bạn sẽ phải trả thêm phụ phí bằng £ 8 khi đăng ký.
